Program Descriptions

AGGIE RING DELIVERY
-Hand out drinks in the coke trailers and (if you're lucky) a few Fightin' Texas Aggie Rings!

AGGIE 100
- Each year, 100 Aggie owned or contolled businesses are awareded for just being awesome. Help out by keeping the winners company, registering the recipients, eating lunch with the businesses or announcing the winners.

BONFIRE MEMORIAL TOURS
-Show the meaning and significance behind the Bonfire Memorial through leading guided tours at the Memorial Site. Training for these tours is offered twice a semester.

BONFIRE REMEMBRANCE DAY
-Give guided tours on the hour, pass our ribbons, and share Bonfire Memorial informaion to students and visitors on November 18th of every year.

BOUNCEBACK DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT
-Hospitality helps the less fortunate by hosting a dodgeball tournament for charity every spring.

COAT AND BLANKET DRIVE
-Hospitality collects coats, blankets and clothes for the homeless each fall.

DIVERSIDAY
-Event to show how diverse the Texas A&M campus is by hosting a wide varitey of organizatons in Rudder Plaza. Each organization, in a creative way, displays their own diverse contribution to the TAMU campus.

ETIQUETTE DINNER
-Hospitality hosts this event to teach you how to properly act and behave in a business dinner setting. Whether you want to succeed in the business world or just to have some fun, it is well worth your time.

GENERAL CAMPUS TOURS
-Our committee gives general campus tours to school classes, teaching about various information and the wide variety of traditions that deal with our campus.

GIRLS CLUB
-This a fun-filled weekly event in which members of Hospitality visit Girls Club in Bryan and spends the afternoon with the girls from various elementary schools; playing games, helping with homework, as well trying to create a fun and supportive educational environment.

HALLOWEEN PARTY
-This is an event for the children of the students, faculty and staff of Texas A&M. Hospitables help run all the games for the kids and there are cookies and cupcakes galore!

INTERNATIONAL AGGIE FOOTBALL SYMPOSIUM
-In this event Hospitality hosts a tailgate party for the international students, introducing them to one of the campus' more popular weekend activities during football season. Also we take them to the football and show them what being an Aggie is all about.

LACE UP FOR LITERATURE
-This program allows us to give students at Jane Long Middle School shoes, food, and a book to help in meeting their physical needs so that they may be able to focus better on their education. This one day program is a continuous day of mentor ship for every one Hospitality member will be pair up with one middle school student. We hope to give material possessions to those in need in order to make a difference in a struggling middle school students' life.

LOST AND FOUND SORTING/AUCTION
-Our biannual auction where we sell all the things that have been lost and not claimed (after 120 days) on campus in the flagroom. This occurs each March and October. We have a professional certified auctioneer. We also solicit donations from different local businesses and get memorabilia autographed by the aggie sports team to sell in our loud and silent auctions.

NOONDAY PROGRAMS
-For a week in December we have groups from our campus and community show us how they celebrate the holidays. We hear a lot of beautiful Christmas caroling during this week. Hospitables help the participating groups in any way needed.

PRESIDENT'S/BOARD OF REGENT'S BOX
-During the football games MSC Hospitality helps host the Regent's Box in which we interact with various dignitaries, making sure they are enjoying themselves, helping with refreshments, and creating a welcoming environment for them.

PUPPET PROGRAMS
-MSC Hospitality Puppet Programs use a fun and enjoyable format to communicate to children about serious issues. Our shows typically last 6-7 minutes, and cover topic such as: friendship, healthy eating habits, dental hygiene, poison safety, dangers of alcohol, smoking, and drugs. It is our goal to help promote a positive, healthy lifestyle to the students.

SILVER OAKS
-Spend time with the residents of the retirement community, taking part in various games, activities, and even dinner. This is a great way to bring a smile to someone's face who may just be looking for someone to talk to.

STORYTELLING AT THE BUSH MUSEUM
-At this event, we help escort and usher people into the auditorium to watch fantastic actors tell various stories about history, acting out their characters in great detail.

STORYTIME IN THE MSC
-Hospitables read to young children in the Flagroom, and dress up as characters in the books they are reading.

STUDENT APPRECIATION WEEK
-

TEXAS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
-Hospitables travel down to Texas Childrenís Hospital in Houston to spread holiday cheer!

WINTER IN AGGIELAND CRAFT FAIR
-Largest fundraiser of the year held in December! We sell spots at our annual craft fair to Aggie Momís and local members to sell their goods. We host a hospitality room, help to organize the loading and unloading, help the speed of traffic, and assist the vendors in anyway possible!

100 DAYS OF LEARNING
-Hospitality members will be visiting kindergarten classrooms and reading a story to the class. Before they leave, they will give a book and literacy packet to each of the students to take and enjoy at home. Our goal is to further promote the love of reading in elementary students.
